Thane — a new-construction belt
Thane is where we do the highest proportion of Griha Pravesh for brand-new flats of anywhere we serve. The Ghodbunder Road corridor in particular — Majiwada, Kasarvadavali, Kolshet, Hiranandani Estate, Owale, Waghbil — has been absorbing new towers continuously, and possession-date housewarmings are the standard booking.

Practical notes for Thane bookings
- Possession dates slip — muhurats do not. This is the single most common problem in Thane. Builders hand over late, and families are left with a booked muhurat and no keys. Tell us as soon as your date looks uncertain; rescheduling a muhurat is routine if we know in advance, and much harder on the morning itself.
- New towers and open flame. Newer Ghodbunder Road buildings frequently prohibit a havan in the flat. Several have a designated area or terrace for it. Check with your society office before the day and tell us, so the pujari brings either full havan samagri or the lamp-based alternative.
- Travel time from Mumbai. Our pujaris travel to Thane routinely, but an early-morning muhurat means an early start on the Eastern Express Highway or Ghodbunder Road. Give us the exact muhurat window when you book.
- Water and gas. New flats often do not have the gas connection commissioned on possession day, which affects the traditional milk-boiling. It is not a problem — there are accepted alternatives — but tell us in advance.
Traditions in Thane
Thane's catchment is predominantly Maharashtrian, and Marathi-speaking Gurujis are what most families here ask for — for Satyanarayan Mahapooja, Gauri-Ganpati and Vastu Shanti in the Maharashtrian style.
