Every idol you see here is sculpted, plated and hand-painted by our artisans in India — no factory moulds passed off as art, no mass-produced imports. What We Do
Vishnupriya Arts is a family of Indian artisans crafting god idols for home temples, pooja rooms and gifting. We work in two signature finishes — luminous marble dust and radiant gold & silver plating — and hand-paint every face, every ornament and every fold of cloth by hand.
Because a murti is a devotional object first, we build each one to last: a 100% waterproof, plastic-coated finish that keeps colour and detail vivid through years of daily aarti, kumkum and abhishek. What you see in this gallery is genuinely what we make — photographed, not rendered.

The same murti can be made in two very different materials. Here is exactly what each finish is, how it looks, and who it suits — so you can choose with confidence.
Finish 01 · Marble Dust
Marble-dust murtis are cast from finely ground marble powder bound into a dense, stone-like body. The result is a smooth, matte surface with a warm, temple-like weight in the hand — the classic look of a traditional pooja-room idol.
We hand-paint these in vibrant, multicolour tones and seal them with a waterproof, plastic-coated layer, so daily worship, water and kumkum never dull them. Ideal if you love a soft, sculptural, understated deity.
Finish 02 · Gold & Silver Plated
Our plated murtis carry a lustrous gold and silver finish over crisply detailed ornamentation — crowns, jewellery and drapery catch the light the way a temple deity does during aarti. It is the finish for those who want their murti to be the shining centrepiece of the shrine.
Each piece is finished by hand and sealed for durability, so the metallic sheen stays bright over years of use. A natural choice for housewarmings, weddings and premium gifting.
Behind the Craft
From a lump of raw material to a deity ready for your shrine, every idol passes through five patient stages — most of them entirely by hand.
It begins with the deity's form. Our sculptors shape and refine the master figure by hand, establishing the posture, the expression and the proportions that give a murti its presence. This master is what every finished piece is faithfully built from.
Finely ground marble powder is bound and cast into a dense, durable body. Once set, each casting is cleaned and smoothed so the fine detail — the crown, the jewellery, the folds of the saree — reads crisply before any colour or plating is applied.
Here the two finishes part ways. Plated pieces receive their lustrous gold and silver coats; marble-dust pieces are prepared with their smooth matte base. Either way, the surface is readied to hold rich, long-lasting colour.
This is where devotion shows. Skilled artisans hand-paint the face, the eyes, the ornaments and the garments — stroke by patient stroke. It is slow, exacting work, and it is what makes every murti subtly one of a kind.
Each idol is sealed with its waterproof, plastic-coated finish, then inspected for detail, colour and durability. Only pieces that pass are individually cushioned, packed and dispatched — arriving ready to be placed in your home temple.
Why It Matters
In Hindu tradition, a murti is where devotion takes shape: the point at which a diya is lit, a marigold garland is offered and the day's prayers begin. We craft each idol with that role in mind — a deity that can sit at the centre of your aarti, your festivals and your everyday moments of stillness.
That is why durability and detail matter so much to us. A murti should still look radiant on its tenth Diwali as it did on its first.

Every product photograph in the collection above is of our own handcrafted work — the exact Shree Mahalaxmi murtis we make and ship. A few contextual images (a lit diya, a temple shrine, an artisan's hands) are used only to illustrate the craft and the devotional setting; the murtis themselves are always ours.
Marble-dust murtis have a dense, matte, stone-like body with vibrant hand-painted colour — soft and traditional. Gold & silver plated murtis carry a bright metallic sheen over fine relief detail — radiant and regal. Both are hand-painted where applicable and sealed with the same waterproof finish. It comes down to the look you prefer.

Because every idol is 100% waterproof and plastic-coated, day-to-day care is simple: wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh abrasives or chemical cleaners. The sealed finish keeps colour and detail vivid through regular aarti and worship for years.
